Why organic is the Better Choice?
Share
At KarmaKarma, we don’t believe in vague promises or hidden ingredients. We stand for honest flavors made with the best ingredients. That’s why we’ve chosen—right from the start—to work exclusively with organically grown ingredients.
Why? Because we truly believe that what you eat has a real impact—not just on your health, but also on the planet. Choosing organic is a decision that goes beyond yourself.
So, what exactly does « organic » mean?
Organic ingredients are grown without synthetic pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Instead, organic farmers use natural methods to protect their crops and keep the soil healthy.

Only products that meet strict standards can carry the EU organic logo (see image). This certification is tightly regulated across the entire supply chain—from farmer to supermarket. We ourselves get inspected every year, while the Belgian Food Safety Authority (FAVV) has only visited us once. Organic food is, in fact, far more strictly controlled than conventional food!
Is organic food actually healthier?
Eating organic means more of the good stuff, and less of the bad. No pesticides, no artificial additives like colorings or synthetic flavors—just food grown as naturally as possible.
Conventional crops often contain chemical residues. While it’s hard to prove their effects directly, there are plenty of ongoing studies that suggest pesticides may be linked to diseases like cancer.

Glyphosate—a key ingredient in the well-known pesticide RoundUp—has been banned for consumer use*, but is still widely used in agriculture, especially on grain crops. While there’s strong evidence that it’s carcinogenic*, it’s still being sprayed on conventional grains. Some scientists also suspect a link to rising gluten intolerances and the increasing number of Parkinson’s cases, though further research is ongoing.*
None of that sounds great. So if you want to eat without chemical sprays, organic is the way to go. In short, eating organic is the only real form of self-defense while these substances are still allowed. Europe does want to move toward more organic farming and fewer chemicals, but the transition is slow and challenging because of pressure on farmers’ yields.
Organic = more sustainable
Organic farming pollutes less, supports biodiversity, and keeps soil healthy. It uses water, energy, and natural resources more mindfully—meaning less strain on the planet and more space for recovery. Avoiding harmful chemicals also protects bees and other beneficial insects that are vital to our food system.
Why choose KarmaKarma?
KarmaKarma only uses organically grown ingredients—free from chemical sprays, preservatives, and colorings that are known to be harmful. That means you can enjoy every bite with peace of mind!
But we go even further… At KarmaKarma, we also make sure every recipe is healthy. Because let’s be honest—not all organic products are good for you. A candy bar made with organic ingredients is still candy if it’s full of sugar. Not everything organic is automatically healthy, and not everything healthy is necessarily organic or free from chemicals.
We’ve solved that dilemma for you. KarmaKarma stands for both: 100% organic and 100% healthy recipes.
